The National Young Leader’s Day at the ICC in Darling Harbour was attended by our school captains and vice captains. They were joined by over 5000 other students from around Sydney to celebrate the ways that they could contribute by being good leaders in society and learning from the wonderful initiatives other young leaders are already doing in our world. The students listened to guest speakers Erin Molan (Nine Network Sports Commentator), Bianca Chatfield (Former Australian Diamond player), Rove McManus (Entertainer and children’s author) and John Coutis (Motivational Speaker).
The children gained lots of insights and lessons through their stories about life, leadership, positive mindsets and the power of believing in yourself and not giving up.
The captains spoke to their fellow Year 6 peers when they came back to school and how discussed how this could make them better leaders of our school.
