St Patrick’s Catholic School Asquith School Captains visit NSW Parliament House

At the beginning of August, the school captains from St Patrick’s Catholic School at Asquith attended the Hornsby Electorate Student Leadership Forum at NSW Parliament House. The morning was hosted by state member for Hornsby, Matt Kean. The children visited the Legislative Council where the members were speaking about the Murray Darling Basin Plan. They also visited the Legislative Assembly where they heard the Health minister proposing a new bill.

After this, the children heard from NSW State member for Hornsby, Matt Kean, Rugby League star Brad Fittler, and Rugby Union star Pat McCutcheon, about their thoughts on leadership and what makes a good leader. They were also fortunate to also hear  about leadership from the Premier, Gladys Berejiklian.
